Seasons GreetingsNow again as in every June, the fishing season has begun in Port Louis. After a hectic start up and pre season, we are into our second trip and the fishing has been on.There is quite a lot to speak of as our season winds up. We saw the final days of our beloved guide shack.
There were growing pains as we got used to our new surroundings.
Plenty of work to be done once the barge arrived.
Then a mad rush to the finish before the first guests landed on the pad.
We were very excited to welcome back the Clarke group headed by Jeff Clarke and David Walsh.
The boys got busy right away with a couple nice springs the first afternoon. 22Lb’s was the bar set day one, and they got after it day 2. Some nice size coming out of Danger Bay with 2 fish at 23lb’s and a couple of local chicken Hali’s
Here is Aloysius Cox with his first day’s 22lber
Shawn Malhorta & Gordon Cudney showing off a pair of 20’s
Day 3 brought the Chinook of trip with a 24lber hitting the dock. The weather was definitely a factor to getting out past the Gap, but with the fishing so good locally, there was no need to range far. Up next we currently have the return of Bob Gayton and crew. Again the gents got off to a good start with 8 fish over 20lb in the first afternoon.
Tuesday morning provided more of the same with the fish of trip so far at just under 30lb. Another OP Tyee.
The good bite has continued this morning, and the guide team got a chance to get out to the chicken patch for some Hali fishing, bringing in a couple nice turkeys, as well a whale show.Anyway, that is the update for now, but check in again soon and I will have another report from The Outpost in Port Louis.Fishing Season’s GreetingJordan
