It's been another great week at The Outpost! Guests are coming and going with big smiles, with unforgettable experiences being made daily here in Port Louis.
Week 4, and the month of June, have come to an end, and we've seen another 4 tyees caught and released - the happy guests being Steve O., Jamie P., Jeff G. and Paul S. Congratulations!

We are always appreciative of our conservation-minded guests for doing their part to keep fish wet!

Fishing has remained steady as we continue to see some nice nice fish in the mid-twenties arriving back at the dock. The weather has been typical of Haida Gwaii, changing almost hourly on some days, and always keeping guides and guests guessing. But you know what they say, rain or shine there's nothing like fishing to pass the time.
With that said... we do particularly enjoy nights like the one pictured below.
Port Louis sunsets are certainly something special.
We show a lot of fishing pictures but thought for those of you interested in how things are done on the west side, a few pictures of the OP that people don’t usually see might be a nice change!

The fish have been keeping anglers busy out on the water, but The Outpost lodge is the perfect place to unwind, share a fishing tale, and enjoy a drink with good company.

Head Chef Stjepan Balan and his culinary team continue to impress the guests with signature dishes such as miso cod with wasabi rice and bison braised short ribs.
