2021 Season Update

After months of planning, following all regulations set by the Province of BC and with full support of the Haida Nation; we are thrilled to announce that both The Clubhouse and The Outpost will be open on July 1st!
Our lodges will have stringent COVID-19 health and safety measures in place to ensure the safest environment for everyone. For more on how we are keeping guests and staff safe this summer, please read our COVID-19 Safety Plan.
For our American guests, the border remains closed until June 21, 2021. Rumours continue to circulate, but nothing definitive has changed since our last update and a two-week quarantine remains in effect for all that enter Canada. Looking ahead to the border update June 21st, there is reason to be optimistic. The COVID-19 pandemic in Canada is trending in a positive direction and there are discussions that the border will be open sometime this summer to fully vaccinated Americans. Our internal belief is that they will extend the current border closure by one more month to July 21st to give all provinces across Canada an opportunity to get their vaccination numbers up and then open the border on July 22nd.
We are hoping for more clarity leading up to the June 21st expiry date and a summer border re-opening plan. We will be in touch as soon as the next border update is official.
In other positive news, we are currently putting the final touches on the season; polishing the fleet, perfecting our menus and ensuring the lodge is in pristine condition for guest’s arrival. In the coming weeks we will also share our 2021 Season Outlook including a pre-season fishing update, an introduction to our new lodge management team and share some new additions made at The Clubhouse. For now, we eagerly await our guests return to the majestic shores of Haida Gwaii. The countdown is officially on!
