The best time to book your trip depends on the species you want to catch.

For Chinook Salmon, the peak season is from May to September. Coho Salmon is best caught from June to September, while Halibut and Lingcod thrive from May to September.

To ensure the best fishing experience, booking during these months maximizes your chances of landing your preferred catch.

Weather Considerations

The weather in Haida Gwaii can be unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from 11-17°C (52-62°F).

Rain is common, so pack layers to use underneath the rain gear provided by the lodge.

Early in the season (May-June) tends to be cooler and wetter, while July to September offers warmer and drier conditions. However, fishing remains strong throughout these months regardless of the weather
