The West Coast Fishing Club is no ordinary fishing destination. Our level of culinary excellence and service  has captured the attention of the most discerning food lovers and has long set us apart in Canada’s sport-fishing industry.

The West Coast Fishing Club’s Far Beyond Culinary Series held every year at The Clubhouse offers one-of-a kind culinary experiences paired with our world-class fishing in the beauty of Haida Gwaii. With our continued partnership with Canada’s 100 Best, the definitive guide to Canada’s culinary scene, some of the world’s most renowned chefs have taken part in our culinary-themed event series, including David Hawksworth, Normand Laprise, Vikram Vij, Anthony Walsh and Jamie Kennedy.

Our marquee event is the David Hawksworth & Friends Culinary Adventure, which features celebrity chefs selected by Vancouver’s leading chef and restaurateur. Every year, David invites guest celebrity chefs from around the world to The Clubhouse for a week of culinary brilliance. Guests enjoy glorious mid-summer days on the water and culinary artistry, including daily interactive cooking classes and evening meals that feature indescribable themed fare and carefully chosen wine pairings by a leading sommelier.

During our cooking demos, participants have their own cooking station and receive hands-on instruction by our talented guest chefs.

Our Far Beyond Culinary event series also includes a barbeque-themed event, Beef, Barbeque & Bourbon that feature some of the world’s most renowned pitmasters, including Tuffy Stone, five-time winner of the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational. During this trip, guests indulge in world-class barbeque, the finest cuts of steak prepared by one of North America’s steakhouses and daily hand-crafted bourbon cocktails.
