Announcement: North Island Lodge Closure for 2020
November 20, 2019 | 6322 ViewsAfter almost 30 years of business, we regret to inform you that our North Island Lodge foreshore lease has expired and was not renewed for the 2020 season.
In spite of extensive and exhaustive efforts to relocate the North Island Lodge barge, we could not come to terms with the BC Government and Council of Haida Nation on any satisfactory location. We will continue to work towards a lease for the NIL operation for 2021 and will keep you informed accordingly. In the meantime, we will continue to operate The Clubhouse and The Outpost on a Thursday and Sunday changeover for the upcoming season.
For many of our annual guests, a trip to North Island Lodge felt like coming home and no one is more disappointed than us. NIL had an extremely strong following and was a unique location where guests would gather to enjoy camaraderie, personalized service and world class fishing in an intimate setting.
Coming off a tremendous 2019, bookings have been as strong as ever and we will do our best to accommodate those guests interested in joining us at The Clubhouse or The Outpost next season.
