North Island Lodge Update July 7 ~ “It’s wild out there!”
July 7, 2014 | 1560 Views
It’s been full on at the lodge filled with stories of massive bait schools, eagles dive bombing the dense schools coming up with freshies on every swipe, and of course, some pretty darn good Salmon fishing.
Bruce Vereshagen recently left the lodge a very happy angler after catching a once in a life time fish. After years of working for larger fish over the last few years, he was rewarded for his time and effort by landing a nice 48 pounder at Lacy Island to seal the deal! Congratulations Bruce!
Chad Smed lights it up with a 32lb hatchery Chinook with guide Brent. You can tell by the look on his face that Chad wasn’t happy about this guy at all!
Sneaking away from the lodge for the day, I helped Willard Kniep sneak a 38 past a couple of hungry sea lions at Cohoe Pt.
Taking a break from fishing off the dock and buzz bombing for a variety of species, Nathan and Izzy Lipetz grab a couple of good eaters.
Here are Ian and Sylvia Murray with a nice morning tote. They have another day here at the lodge and already have three Tyee on the board!
Be sure to check back soon for another update. Until then, good night from beautiful Langara Island.
