Things have been moving along well at North Island Lodge. With the remainder of Eagle Crafts brought in today, the guide crew and dock team have been busy outfitted the boats with all the necessary equipment / testing electric down riggers….
All guest seats and captain chairs have been replaced and I must say our fleet is looking pretty sharp!
Sr guide Brent Gallacher, Drew Mason and myself flew into Masset today to transport the last of the boats back to Langara Island. Here are a few quick snap shot from our trip into Masset.

Grabbing a few last minute items in town (Government dock Masset BC) ..
Outfitted with new 90hp Yamahas, the eagle crafts ran very smoothly…
Boats are dialed in and things are once again coming together nicely at North Island.
We have a few busy days of final preparation ahead of us. Our first guest helicopter touches down June 4th to kick off the 2012 season. I’m sure I can speak for the inside staff and guide crew in saying we are all very excited to see some familiar faces and looking forward to another amazing season at North Island Lodge.
Taking in the spectacular scenery and spending a bit of time on the water today was a quick reminder of why people continue coming back. While it’s difficult to put into words .. and it’s not always just the fishing … Langara Island holds a certain magnetism for those that have been here. If you can share in this statement we’d love to hear from you! Email me and tell us about your past adventures on Langara Island! Stay tuned for more blogs as we close in on our opening day.
