Panama: Thank youMay 19, 2011
Today was a another gorgeous, sunny, perfect day in paradise.
This afternoon we bid farewell to two wonderful guests, Kirby and Jack, and welcomed three new staff members to our family. Tonight, as a crew, we have an opportunity to reflect on the past two weeks since opening.
I would like to take this moment to recognise all the amazing people here on the ship that make this all possible.
I am so proud, and so lucky, to work with this amazing, creative, hardworking, personable crew. As my boss Brian Legge says, our two best assets are our clients and our staff. I could not agree with that more.
The combined skill and experience of the staff here at WCFC Panama is incredible – without exception, every single person here is a pleasure to work with and to live with. I know it will only continue to get better as we grow as a company and as a family.
Getting a project like this off the ground takes devotion, creativity, experience, and most importantly, a sense of fun. Thank you to all the staff on the Pacific Provider, on the ground in Panama City, and the incredible backbone of support in Vancouver. We appreciate every one of you.
Thank you as well to our guests, clients, and fans who keep up going and inspire us to keep getting better.
Panamanian Spanish Lesson of the Day:
“Muy amable” = Very kind, much appreciated.
“Que tenga un buen dia” = I hope you have a nice day.
Use it to say thank you to anyone who has helped you! “Gracias, muy amable. ” = Thank you – much appreciated. Wrap it up with “Que tenga un buen dia”, and you will see smiles all around.
Good night from paradise,
