Conservation Programs
From our first year of operations in 1988, The West Coast Fishing Club has upheld a deep commitment to well defined corporate responsibility objectives that focus upon fisheries conservation, sustainable industry practices, and social, economic and community development initiatives. Thanks in large measure to the support of our guests, The West Coast Fishing Club has raised over $600,000 to help with local Salmon enhancement projects.

Catch and Release Incentives
The West Coast Fishing Club continues to encourage the release of trophy Chinook Salmon with a selection of gifts for conservation minded anglers or the option to participate in the Total Catch & Release Program. To recognize guests who release trophy sized Chinook Salmon that measure out to 40 pounds or greater, we have a selection of rewards to choose from. Guests who release a qualifying fish may choose from one of the following complimentary gifts:
*Please note that if the fish caught will not survive, it cannot be released and will not qualify for the reward.
40+ lb. Tyee

50+ lb. Tyee

60+ lb. Tyee

To qualify a guests may retain other Chinook Salmon, but have at least one open Chinook spot available on their license for the duration of the trip (i.e. a maximum of 3 Chinook may be retained, not the possession limit of 4). Both guided and self-guided guests are eligible. A West Coast Fishing Club guide must verify all qualifying fish before release.

Total Catch & Release Program
Guests visiting any of The West Coast Fishing Club properties may choose to release all the fish they catch for the duration of their trip. In return they will be rewarded with an Arc'teryx Jacket. Guests who declare to “Catch and Release” must do so prior to the issuance of a fishing license, and notify the lodge manager. Ideally, try to make your intentions known when booking your trip as participants are limited. Please direct any questions to the lodge manager or your sales associate.
