Season Update from the President | April 2021
March 31, 2021 | 1870 ViewsSpring greetings from The West Coast Fishing Club. We hope you and your family have been keeping safe and well. As the 2021 season approaches, we would like to provide an update on our plans.
At this time, it is our intention to open both of our lodges, The Clubhouse and The Outpost. Preparation is well underway to operate within the provincial rules and regulations of British Columbia. As always, the health and safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. Our team will be regularly trained on the latest health measures to ensure the safest experience for everyone.
For our American guests, the border is closed until April 21st, 2021 and a mandatory two-week quarantine is in effect. No timeline by either country has been set for reopening cross border travel, however with positive developments in vaccine rollouts we remain optimistic there will be changes in the future.
As time moves on, we believe that things will be getting back to normal as people get vaccinated and we continue to learn how to navigate through this virus. Our intent is to build on the experience gained in 2020 and deliver a world class fishing adventure on the farthest northwest shores of Canada.
As the past 12 months have shown, timelines are continually evolving, and our priority is to keep our guests informed with current information. We have included resources at the bottom of this letter to help you stay up to date.
We look forward to welcoming guests and familiar faces back to our lodges for some well-deserved time in majestic Haida Gwaii. We will be in touch soon to share exciting updates on new team members, improvements around The Club and a detailed season outlook. In the meantime, please take care and stay safe.
