The Outpost Report: June 23, 2008

June 23, 2008

Chopping seas and a steady rain could not dampen the spirited Dave Jewett Exclusive group of guests. This first time to The Outpost Lodge group created a festive atmosphere and did not let the elements interfere with their determination to have fun and catch some fish.

Gary Carter established a new season record when he landed his 206 lb Hali. Coached by guide Bob (Baboo) Brown, Gary caught his Hali at Taylor Shoals in 180 feet of water. Ironically as Bob and Gary were heading out to sea Gary informed Bob he had a dream the night before about catching the largest fish of his life….The magic of the Misty Isles was obviously at work again….!
Tyee pins were also awarded to Gary for his 31 lb Chinook and Kevin Boddez for his 32 lb Chinook. Overall the group caught over 40 Chinook!
