The Garcia / Fettback guests braved the elements and their reward was a great weekend of fishing and comradeship. When Mother Nature makes it impossible for our guides to seek salmon out on the open ocean the Outpost bays and coves provide a sheltered haven of beautiful scenery and good fishing!
Thirteen year old Lonzo Clary did not let the rain and wind interfere with his passion for sport fishing. Coached by Kevin (Kermode) Sturgess Lonzo caught 22 lb, 26 lb, 28 lb Springs and a 31 lb Tyee. The Tyee was caught off of Brock Island in 16 feet of water!
Mike Garcia - 30 lb Spring, Paul Cooper - 30 lb Spring and Chris Findlater – 30 lb Spring all were awarded Tyee pins. Young Lonzo thought he had caught the prize fish of the trip when on the last morning of fishing Randy Journey surprised everyone with his 33 lb Tyee. Coached by Steve (The Log) Cote Randy landed the Tyee inside of Brock Island on a cut plug in 50 feet of water. It was a well deserved Birthday present for Randy…..Happy Birthday Randy…..see you next year….don’t forget your hiking boots!
