Brad was played out by lunch and needed a quick siesta to rejuvenate his muscles for the afternoon “shift”…. Yeah, I said it, “shift”, this isn’t a walk in the park at the Outpost, it’s hard work catching Chinooks non stop!!!
Today couldnt have been any better on the water, it was flat calm, blue sky, another degree or two would be shorts weather!!
The weather was good but the fishing was spectacular! 5-8 double headers in each boat and many more released, and lots of Halis. Here is Hagen and Myles with a nice looking “Butt”!
Check this out a LAMNA DITROPIS, what a beauty!!! Ok, ok, I had to look that up. This is a Salmon Shark, this is the first one I have ever seen landed!!
Johnny and Pappa D somehow managed to catch this salmon on a cut plug herring. 99% of the time the line brakes on their sandpapery skin or their gnarly chompers! This 65lber is a small specimen but still quite a feat on the salmon rod. They can grow up to weights over a 1000lbs!!
Anyone want o go for a swim??
Paul and Steph are killing it in the kitchen, they are putting out dishes that are so amazing. Every night, like clock work, the table goes silent for about 10-15 minutes while everyone takes their first few mouthfulls.
This is the hand made Potato Leek Ravioli…. I have still yet to taste it…..
Maybe next time…
Good night from the OP, what a beautiful sunset!!!
