We were greeted yesterday with smiles and excitement as the group charged from the helicopter.
After a quick lunch Bruce, Garth, Neiff, Brian and Darren were out on the water; luckily mother nature gave us another great day and the crew managed to find some nice looken fishies! The weather forecast was pretty ugly for the next couple days so the guides opted for the hali program.
Watch out!!! Theres one coming over the rail.
Here is Myles taping out a hali making sure it is under that 83cm mark to fill the "small" hali spot.
Don and Neiff got into a nice double header hali situation!
Don got a 17lber, Neiff landed a rotund 54lber and they sure put a hurt on the gold fish.
Randy, a.k.a "The Godfather", and John paired up yesterday and found a mixed bag. Some nice lingers, a couple coconuts, twin chinooks, and some small sized halis.
Here is a great shot of father and son. Can anyone spot what is missing? The weather forecaster was correct, today was ugly. The wind and rain picked up and it turned out to be one of the worst days The Outpost has had this season. The crew at The OP stuck it out through thick and thin, from feeling a little green to sideways rain and being drenched to the bone, we found fish.
Here is "The Godfather" and Josh with their haul. This is what I like to call the "Sammy Slam", at least one of each species to the dock.Ladies and Gentleman, today was quite a special day at The OP.
A new winner on the KRUD table!! Paul a.k.a "Meat Mask" or "Dead Ball Paul" has won the coveted Jacket for the first time!! Nice work Paul, it was a good win over Pappa D to take the jacket. Beside Paul is than man I have dubbed "The Godfather", Randy was the guest that brought the game of KRUD to The OP 10 years ago!!! The tradition of KRUD has been played with every group for the past 5 years that I know of and probably even before that!! It was quite nice to have the legend back under our roof, and needless to say, he was the last guest standing in the game tonight!Well lets hope for better weather tomorrow.Over and out from The OP,Be sure to dream of "Old Walter", or "Catfish Hunter", or the massive one that got away that you have given a name and will never forget!!Marky Mark
