The Outpost Report: June 21, 2010

OUTPOST UPDATE: Changeover has us saying goodbye to…

Breton, Kelly, Tim, Peter, Mike, Steve, Connie, Marcus, Steve, Dan, Rick, Shara, Brian and Cam. Thanks and safe travels. We’ve got a mixed group in house now and due to a few health issues on the guiding front I found myself on the water today rather than taking pictures on the dock. The afternoon was a little slow as the winds were building from the south. Brock Island keeps on producing fish and provides a refuge from the weather. It was great to be out for a few hours and we kept circling the regular haunts. Eventually we found a nice 25 lb Chinook and released a Coho.
Mornings still tend to provide a better bite than the afternoon so some of the guests are going to sneak out 30 minutes early and cut the afternoon short.
I’ve got a few entries for the caption contest posted last week, we’re dead locked in decision making so will post the winner tomorrow.
