The Outpost Report: June 13, 2009

I’m due in next week with the Cooper/ Garcia Group. Thanks for all your posts – keep them coming! I look forward to checking the website every day to see if there are any new reports. I appreciate hearing about all the activity around the Outpost as you prepare for guests and fishing expeditions you guys are making (just leave a few Tyees for us please….:-).
I was wondering how the weather has been over the past few days; has it been sunny, overcast, windy? Also, have you guys done much in the way of exploring the Hali bite? I saw the one post, but I was wondering how much the guides have done to explore all the favorite Hali holes

Thanks for your email, I’m glad to see that out customers are following our new blog. The weather so far has been great but it is the Charlottes so here’s praying for more of the same. The salmon fishing has been pretty fair by Outpost standards with a half dozen 30’s and a couple of 40’s and a 60+ to boot, I’ll take fishing like this all summer long!!
We haven’t spent too much time on the Hali’s yet but from what I’ve seem you shouldn’t be disappointed. Thanks for your email and we look forward to seeing all of you next week. Keep checking the reports and we’ll post halibut updates.
