OUTPOST UPDATE: “FISH ON” at the Outpost…

Kevin tries to keep it together as Jay and Guide Ben watch while he’s spooled by a monster. Panz and Gary watch the action in the background. Another great day on the water and finally SUMMER AT LAST!
It was beautiful as all boats took a lunch and hit the water leaving the lodge empty. With the sun out and nobody around the girls made themselves some floats, here is Kaili with her Dr.Pepper variety…

mmmm…

Enjoying the sun, soaking up some rays and a little “girl chat” made it feel like summer. Whitney, Rydell and Kaili enjoyed their floats and were good enough to include me as one of the girls…hey wait a second!

Meanwhile out on the water the guides roped together and shared some “boy talk”…you know heartbreak over the ones lost and the joy of the keepers (not sure if its fish or women they were talking about)…

Once back on the dock success was obvious…

A couple of nice Tyees and a couple of close calls, guide “Big Fish Ben” gives the scale a smack to try and push one over the Tyee edge…

Today’s champ was Chad and his 34 pound Chinook…

Closely followed by Rich and his 32…

Well done guys! Another day of great fishing with some boats hitting 10+ fish and a real adventure for our guests who have never been salmon fishing before. Whitney “New Boots Magliocchi” was exhausted after counting so many fish, she had to take a time out in the Tinny…

Look like a fun summer job? YOU BET!
After last nights Krud game the group (slightly bitter after being demolished by the staff) went back to the table for another round tonight (staff not included, we only play once)…

I can hear them right now playing round two. Sounds like a fierce battle!
If you’re coming this summer get ready, it’s a lot to take in.

As always,
Ken Beatty
