The Outpost Report: July 5, 2010

OUTPOST UPDATE: Changeover morning and the weather breaks for the Nechako group. Alan takes advantage and brings home a 24 lb spring, the biggest of the morning…just before the derby cut off of 8:30am…

Doug…well we’re not sure what he’s doing but he sure looks happy for Alan!

The new group came in shortly there after and started the trip by hanging 10 off the balcony as the 2nd chopper came in with luggage & freight…

It appeared Kaili was amused by the antics from the nose bleed section…

But then I realized that she was admiring all the hip metro sexual shoes (as she’s a fashion designer by trade)…

Nice foot wear lads! I wonder how fish slime repellant they are?

The afternoon had some nice fish hit the dock. Group leaders Gary and Chris showed everybody up with a hali-chinook combo…

Great job guys, this group is keeping to the 100+ pound release program and landed a nice 59 and a 102…that’s close enough. The rules are if you keep a hundred pounder you have to lift a 100 pounder…so Chris away you go…

…with a little assistance from guide Mike Panz. Then things started to get a little intimate…

A really fun day, seven Chinooks on the dock largest was 26 lbs. A couple of nice halibut and the group is finding their sea legs for another full day tomorrow.
