OUTPOST UPDATE: What’s going on?

Don called it digging time…

Rightly so as he runs a construction company that started out in excavation. I’m not arguing with that…

Myself, “office Nycol” and Jamie dug as fast as we could, (clearly I was more officiating the process) the prize…

Clams! Jamie quoted himself as a “local-tarian” meaning for his cooking class we were going to harvest and prepare as much locally as we could. Bruce who photographed the excursion (and collected a few items) had a bright idea…

You want us to do what with that????...

It was Don’s tremendous closing effort that brought this Geoduck to the surface. Lucky for us Bruce’s ideas fade away as fast as they come…

Back at the lodge Jamie and his guest crew set to work preparing lunch…

Guest John Scott started by mimicking Jamie’s focus …

Very good grasshopper! Kate Ann, Tammy, Don and John worked all morning under Jamie’s guidance and got ready to serve an Oregano Salad opener…

Followed up with the final touches on a lovely local clam chowder…

The bustling table was all “hmmm’s and ahhhh’s”

leaving Ken and Dennis all smiles…

The lunch was finished off with a sparkling berry Granita…

Delicious!
A group hit the water this morning with some good results, highlights are…

Chef Dino and Dennis with a double fister of Chinooks.

Tony and John said; “Oh no you don't”! The competitive nature of the day was starting to emerge.
Then a helicopter came and flew our guests away for a culinary extravaganza at the CH…

It gave the staff a few hours to hone their competitive edge on the KRUD table…so when the guests returned "home" it was GAME ON!

For the forth time this summer it was Kaili that took the newly crafted Krud crown…

That makes her the…

Until she has to put it on the line next trip.

Another busy day in paradise!

Lights out at the OP.
