OUTPOST UPDATE: Everyday is wildcard day here at the Outpost…

Each night at dinner Kaili or Rydell announces the wildcard fish for the next day…the winner receives a prize the following night. Above was Ray’s wildcard win from Saturday; the first fish caught and released, any species. Its lots of fun so get ready to play & fish. This next shot has no real purpose other than a moment caught in time…

It’s our resident cat Ingram, a keen hunter and life time companion for Brock-zilla. Another moment caught in time…

The dock was alive as another stellar day was had by all. In this shot Dean, Vincent (with transaderm patch), Alison and Alex contemplate the unseen as Ray points out something to Boat 4, Mark, Pork Chop and Big fish “bed-time” Ben in the background.
Another day with 40 Chinook caught and released by the group, lots of halibut and just about everything but Coho…they didn’t seem to be around. Let’s start with Dean and Brian…

They had a perfect day with a self imposed limit of “everything they wanted” seen here with guide Big Fish Ben. Pierre rolled in with Brian and Nick and assortment of fish. For all you ladies out there Nick not only has caught 3 tyees this trip he’s also got a girlfriend so cry your hearts out…

Next up is the unstoppable trio of Ray, Alison and Alex, they had another incredible day with Mike Panz, all simles here…

Rick got a little frisky with his 56 pound hali…

The hali was hoping for a French kiss but Rick had already dated and released her bigger sister (196 LBS) so was reluctant to get too involved right away. Not to worry miss Hali I think you’re a keeper now!
The guides voted on a number of awards this trip from “greatest boondoggle” to “best overall angler” and here are your weekend winners…

In order of increased stature; Alison’s unborn child wins most improved and earliest starter, Ray won best angler, Nick won best novice and Dean won greatest boondoggle…but that’s another story.
Down at the guide shack to celebrate mid season Rydell, Mclovin and Boat 4 organized Christmas in July, there were presents for everyone under the twinkling tree…

Is this when I should start worrying about staff sanity?
Just another busy day here at camp paradise…

Over and out,
Ken Beatty
