OUTPOST UPDATE: World Cup Sunday made its way to the Outpost as we streamed the game live as best we could through the internet…
Chef Michael whose roots go back to Spain was glued to the laptop computer on the pass that simultaneously displayed on a screen we set up for the staff and guests. Trent was momentarily more interested in the nut mix while Chef Mike was watching with keen interest and of course was delighted by the end result of today’s game.
On the dock Brint took an early lead with an excellent strike from midwater to score this 40lb Tyee…
After much effort and good pace on the bait the next largest fish was 18 lbs, this one caught by Carl…
There were some antics on the sidelines…
But nobody could close the gap on Brint’s fish. Boat 4, Whitney, Mike, Pork Chop and Randy “ham” it up.
Fishing and weather returned to “difficult” today. 7 Chinooks to the dock, 3 meter seas and generally tough conditions. It seems the ground program is productive if the weather co-operates but Salmon have been hard to come by and making every opportunity count becomes important.
There are some big ones around and we had lots of large hali releases this weekend so take advantage of those weather windows and enjoy being in such a wild place.
Changeover tomorrow.
