Changeover day at the Outpost…and what a day! There was a LOT of fish on the dock today, before I show any of the results here is how things played out: Chinook 12 retained, Coho 13, Halibut 6 and an assortment of yellow eye and lingcod. It ended up being a sunny day and a windy afternoon with a lot of wet faces for the port side passengers headed home from the south. The first back on the dock this eve was Guide Pierre, Todd & Greg and a couple of very nice Chinook that happened to hit at the same time
They were shortly followed in by Ed and Alex who were out with Stacey, they brought home a compliment of Halibut, Coho, and Chum (which we haven’t seen a lot of). Coho on the other hand seem to be everywhere…
next up was guide Mike Panz with a group of three wet, happy faces (belonging to Phil, Alison and Alex) and they caught everything: Halibut, Chinook, Coho, Yellow eye…
and when I mean everything I mean EVERYTHING, what’s that you’ve got Mike?
and lets not forget out little friends
I’m not sure how what else they could have fit into an afternoon, well done! Next up was the triumphant return of Mr. Brown who was away for a wedding last week, his group did well…I’m not going to show you how well…but I’ll give you a glimpse
Pucker up Rick, you won the money today! We also saw the return of guide Robert Gordy (picasso) to the lodge for his second season and he hit the dock with a little of everything seen here with Paul, Dale and Gary
Biggest salmon you ask, well Ray takes the day with a 24lber and was heard saying "this ain’t my first rodeo!!!"
Not bad ray but I like photos with a little more…well…hair
That’s better, its a perfect take home halibut for Alison.
I’ll be out on the water with the gang tomorrow so watch out…I might be rusty but…whos kidding who I’ll probably get schooled…stay tuned and good night from the Outpost!
