The Outpost Report: August 9, 2010

August 9, 2010

OUTPOST UPDATE: I’m not sure on the protocol when bringing a group to the Outpost and proceeding to catch the biggest fish but Myles decided that was what he was going to do...

A 31 pound Chinook, the biggest today. A day which offered the most insanely good fishing of the year! EVERYONE got their Chinook limits and then some: 14 guests in house and 28 Chinook on the dock with another dozen or more released. Most of the boats were back in within a few hours as the land lovers were not taking to the swells. Let’s check out the action as the boats started hitting the dock before 4pm...

Guide JP made his guests Rick & Jesse hoist their haul.
Winston & Bruce showing off their stuff...

Veterans Clint and Myles we’re calling it a “Mid Summer Nights Dream”…

Ron & Chris were in first due to a mild case of “get me back on stable ground”...

They had to hold each other up and were still looking a little green under the gills.
Jeremy and Tom added a little-big mouth to their catch...

Myles and Paul got the real meal deal with Paul tipping the Tyee mark with a 30 lber...

the final smiles in the aisles...

Belonged to Brian and Gary.

What more can I say…it was the best place in the world if you wanted to catch a salmon.

See you tomorrow,
Ken Beatty
