LIFE AROUND THE LODGE & PHOTOS OF THE DAY: Here are a few photos I’ve been meaning to post for some time. We had a small “hatch” if you will of these beautiful little frogs a couple of weeks back (they were about the size of a quarter). I haven’t seen them before or after…can anyone identify them?
There’s a Sea Lion colony about 20 minutes north of us and if I’ve translated properly from Sea Lion barking into English I think he was saying “I’m kind of a big deal”…
Below is a beautiful tidal pool out by glass ball beach…a must see for any hiker/adventurer and so fun to explore
I really liked this shot taken by Kaili coming out onto glass ball, can you identify the characters?
Up on the ridges behind the lodge you’ll find countless natural Bonsai trees, their warped branches and haunted look suggest that growing up here is difficult
Back on the water, the classic rod holder/downrigger shot waiting for the bounce of the rod tip triggered by a strike from below. That’s a new blue MR3 the next generation of Islander reels…
Have any pictures you’d like posted from your trip to the Outpost or fish you’ve caught at home? Why don’t you send them to me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
