Yesterday Bob and Kathryn et all joined us at The Outpost, the group was chomping at the bit to get out and find some fish but someone made them hold up for a group shot!
The group stuck close to home yesterday and found a few nice fish.
Bob and younger brother Ron paired up and hit the seas and a few nice Coho.Today everyone packed their coolers with tastey treats and headed out for the day. They experienced one of the best days at The OP so far this year. We had 7 Tyees caught today, 6 brought back to the dock, the sun was shining and the water was glass calm.Rick landed two tyees with Sammy, twin 30lbrs, here is the released one….

Sammy estimated it to be 8-9 feet long!Curtis got this nice 31lber,
Jacky couldn’t quite beat the boat record for the day but caught some nice sized Coho!!!
Hot Carl and Ron landed this nice 30lber!
Kathryn battled this 33lber with the help of Big Carl as well!! Those are some great fish!!!
Gordon took the cake today with Bob and Ol’ Yeller. He caught two Tyees, a 33 and a 34! NICE FISH!!!!
The fishing was unreal today, loads of fish were released and the average Chinook to the dock weighed 27lbs!Today I stretched my legs and went beach combing with Hannah, Paul and Andrew. I stumbled upon a sad site…
This is a Humpback Whale carcass. I don’t know how old a specimen like this would have been, but I am guessing still quite young. The amount of bear and eagle tracks around the animal’s body was amazing. It was unfortunate to see a loss of life like this but nothing in this ecosystem goes to waste.On a more exciting note…. KRUD…. The game was intense,
It was fast…
It was nail biting….
The victory was MONSTEROUS
