The Clubhouse Report - Fishing for Tyees

A nice night in here, resting up from far too many battles with lions today! Despite this, we had nice fish released and on the dock!

Just looking at the tyee list I see top fish was a 42 taken by Larry Lorick. We had ten tyee total on the trip, with 4 of them released. I see Philip Pavitt angled a 39 and released it out at Cohoe Point tonight, with the aid of boat 11. Also see Joe Rekab angled a 32 and released it in the same group. A couple PCL boys grabbed a couple tyees , Garth Tomlinson with a 32 and Kris Hildebrand with a 33, Kris keeping his guide out to find a nice fish, and the wait was so worth it, well done boat 17. Ben Burton had a nice trip as well with 3 tyees, 2 which were released, top release a 37,5!

Lots of coho here now, this is the peak of migration, they are snapping at our baits from 2 to 160 feet, pick a depth. The springs are all around as well, in the pass, out at Cohoe, on the West Bank, in the deep, shallow, mid water, pick a depth. The bigger kings are being hit for the most part in the pass though.

The bloody lions are acting up again, dashing some dreams and causing guests and guides to blow they're stacks. Hard on gear, patience and testicular fortitude, some day these lions need a good beating. Getting smart as well, now biting the bodies of the fish, giving up heads to avoid hooks, well played....stinkin rock dogs!

The slime has eased, making trolling easier now...not any pinks to speak of, so pretty nice fishing conditions. Weather is good in here, so yes, we are in peak season, and a good season it is. See you all soon I hope, to then, goodnight from the Clubhouse, Mike Tonnesen, Head guide Screamer.
