The Outpost~Taking Over the Reins!

Big changes at The Outpost for this up and coming season as we welcome new chefs, but unfortunately say good bye to Kenny B!! Ken has decided to take his charisma, passion for the outdoors and fishing expertise to Banff, Alberta on a new endeavour.

I, Mark Reid will be taking the reins at The OP in conjunction with Justine Dart. I have been guiding at The Outpost for the past four seasons and am excited to take on a management role this season. I think I will miss being “number one” on the dock, but I guess all good things must come to an end!!

This will be Justine’s third season at The Outpost and will co-manage the lodge with me. We are both eager  to get back to Port Louis and help create the best possible experience for you.

There will be a wholesale change in the kitchen this season, but the majority of the other staff will be returning. Not to over shadow any of our past chefs, because they all have been wonderful, this year our chefs are going to be exceptional! Paul Moran and Stephanie Noel are a husband and wife team with a combined total of over 30 years of experience in the culinary world. They have worked in Canada, the Middle East and parts of Europe.  Paul and Stephanie have both worked at the acclaimed West restaurant in Vancouver under David Hawksworth and he has said that, “they are the best chefs that WCFC has ever seen!”. You will have to be the judge of that! Check out their video and get an idea of what they will be serving!!!

Fingers crossed for a good weather year. The Outpost crew knows where the fish are, it is just a matter of getting out to the spots. Good weather or bad there will always be a few fish in the bay and exceptional food to enjoy with your friends at The Outpost!

      Roger that! I have read and re-read Excel for dummies in preparation for the Wage-A-Palooza!! I will make sure to tell the cheif that Sloppy Joe is allergic to everything… or maybe that is only big water he is allergic too!!!
