Salmonar Success!!

June 14, 2012

Quick update here from North Island Lodge. Monday marked the end of our first “salmonar” trip. Todd McIntyre provided some fantastic information sessions and guests left with a plethora of new techniques, tricks and fishing etiquette under their belts. With excellent comments and positive feedback provided by all that attended we would be happy to consider a 2013 salmonar. If you haven’t had the opportunity to fish Langara Island and would consider attending our next event please let us know!

Here is what guests had to say!

“Just got back to our hotel in Vancouver. Absolutely awesome trip. The crew just keeps getting better each year. Came back from the Salmonar with chinook limits. Special kudos to DJ, Celina and her team, Walter, Tanner,Lois, Steve and Nick and of course Todd M who gave killer nightly seminars. Got it on video..We'll be returning for sure later in the season”

Richard Masef

"Your salmonar educational program for the first week is an excellent idea. Great information every evening and guide support on the water"

Bob McDonald

"A Shared experience was Todd's evening salmon fishing lessons. They were very informative and very entertaining!"

Carie Kyrilov

I had a chance to shake off some rust during the trip and had a chance to get out on the water for the first time. We found some success at Lacey Island. Fishing with Carie and Mark was an absolute pleasure .. We hope to see you again sometime this summer!

Pictured below is a group of work colleagues getting a safety orientation by dock manager Setevarino. Eager to head out and test their skills this group did not disappoint.

The boys having a great time on the water ...

Great job guys! We had alot of fun with this group.

New to the North Island team I'd like to introduce Drew Manson. Drew grew up on the ocean in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Another excellent addition to the NIL guide crew Drew had previously worked with the Clubhouse as the dock manager. Drew has always wanted to guide and is absolutely loving his new position. Welcome aboard Drew Barrymore!

Drew & his guest Don
