Extending a west coast trip always proves popular and we are delighted to introduce the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, which opens in early July offering an enticing new accommodation option for guests, on their way to or from our Haida Gwaii lodges.

This legendary hotel dates back to the 1920s, often noted as the heyday of the city’s social scene. Attracting royalty and Hollywood stars, the hotel was home to Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Katharine Hepburn and Laurence Olivier and is sure to be equally as popular under the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts name. Rosewood is responsible for some of the world’s most acclaimed properties and will bring extensive amenities and impeccable service to Vancouver’s most historical hotel.

Amenities include nearly 10,000 square feet of deluxe banquet and meeting facilities, Sense Spa®, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and a 54’ indoor salt water lap pool. The property features 155 rooms and suites that will be the height of sophistication against the remarkable backdrop of the restored hotel. Of these, two exceptional penthouse suites, the Lord Stanley Suite and the hotel’s signature Rosewood Suite, both feature private rooftop terraces complete with stunning city skyline views, outdoor hot tub and fireplace.

The hotel’s signature restaurant will certainly be a draw for past guests of the West Coast Fishing Club. Following four years as host of David Hawksworth & Friends Culinary Adventure at The Clubhouse, Chef Hawksworth takes the helm at his first self-titled restaurant, located within the hotel lobby. ‘Hawksworth’ Restaurant will feature contemporary Canadian cuisine, reflecting regional and seasonal ingredients with a uniquely Vancouver-Asian twist.
