July 25, 2012 | 1040 Views
After a very hectic changeover due to thick fog our new guests were finally out on the water.
Peter and his first salmon ever landed, almost a Tyee but was short a couple pounds! Tyee or not his Papa, Paul, is proud.
One Tyee brought in to the dock today, Dave, in the middle, between Guide Pete(A.K.A Pappa Delta) and Brian holding his nice 24 pounder.
The Hali grounds were producing as well. The only boat that went out produced two perfect take home fish, 35 pound twins!
One of these fish was obviously very hungry or thirsty. First, it swallowed a nice can of Pacific Pilsner, donated by a very generous commercial fisherman. Then, proceeded to finish up with a nice piece of salmon belly. Somebody in the past few days was robbed of their bait, but we got the culprit this go round!!! I wonder…….. do they only drink Pacific Pilsner or if we switch it up to Kokanee or something exotic like Hefferveisen we would catch more???
We have had back to back Birthdays Boys at the OP for the last two trips, Happy Birthday Dean…. your birthday fish awaits you!!
I guess I should mention KRUD…….
