Outpost Update ~ June 26th "Glass balls"

June 27, 2012

The group in house is on a corporate retreat and actually held a meeting this afternoon!

So there wasn't very much of this going on after lunch...

But there was money on the line for the biggest fish of the day so...Bob was the lucky one bringing in the biggest Chinook and raking in the cash...

25 pounds, well done Bob!

Seems like the menu has changed recently from herring to...

The staff took advantage of an easy afternoon by going on a jungle adventure...

Sam, Mark and Pete descend into the heart of darkness.

Great visitas off the southern cliffs...

and then GLASS BALL BEACH...

Where if you're really lucky you'll find one of these...

An ancient glass fishing ball from Asia...that drifted to the western shores of Haida Gwaii somewhere over the last century.

Not much more to report today...too busy looking for glass balls.

The Outpost

ps. You'll all be relieved to know that at meet and greet tonight, although hotly contested the Krud jacket remains with last trip's champion.
