Outpost Update July 7: SOAR

July 8, 2011

Outpost Update: you could fly today at the OP...

Fishing was so good we were jumping for joy...

Logan was ten feet tall (actually he almost is)... the first strong shadows on the basketball court in a while...Nile watches singing "I wish I was taller - I wish I was a baller - I wish I had a girl who was cute I would call her"...

Speaking of romance...

Judy was fell in love all over again...and judging by the course she took (as tracked on the gps)...

...she kept going back for more!

There were smiles...

how easy is it to guide Mike when you're guests are catching 60+ chinook a day?

LOTS of smiles...

Way to go Andrew... "the best day of fishing in my life!"

smiles con't...

JP and Greg grin away and were fishing with "Dancing Johnny"...

...who told me "so much action, I've caught enough fish"...you don't hear that to0 often. Dancing Johnny got his name from his outstanding performance during the KRUD game last night where he displayed amazing agility and skill around the pool table. He was the last guest standing...before the sharks took over...Kennyb winning his third in a row...Marky-mark a close second for those of you keeping track.

Back to the smiles...

Jamie can it get any better than that?

Rod did you say that you had 14 double headers out there?????

Oh and just for fun played a few chinook on his spinning rod brought direct from Belleville with 8lb test...

smiles are the result...

The fishing was ridiculous today as Rod later mentioned to me "I now believe!". He's been coming here for more years than I have and both he and his son played over 30 chinook each today...it can happen here folks, just ask Rod.

In house Jamie Kennedy has his troop of followers who were out foraging for these...

and some of these...

I mean the local BC spot prawns not the ladies...(I believe Judy and Dyane have already been spoken for)

Then it was role call with professor Kennedy at the helm...

After a quick demonstration it was time to get your hands dirty...

Peter, Judy, Kevin, Sammy, Ken and Dyane get to work extracting the meat from the crabs.

Then mixed with Jamie's herbs and spices they form what will end up being crab cakes...

How are they doing professor JK?

"very well"

so much meat...

then fried...

then devoured...

served with some fresh local spot prawns and beet salad...

FANTASTIC!

For Sarah it required a quick after lunch nap...

with Ingram doing a little personal sunshine grooming on the deck outside.

There were a few new visitors...

a fresh new fawn and...

Tufted Puffins...

Seriously folks its going off down here and has been all summer. Fishing is better than you can possibly imagine with screaming runs...

and big fish...

Rod gets a 32 pounder!

You could fly today at the OP.
