Outpost Update July 6: Monster Blog

July 6, 2011 | 821 Views

Outpost Update, its been a while but we’re back and hope to be better connected here at the OP. I’m going to cover a lot of ground on this “monster blog” to catch up on all you’ve been missing so hang on and here we go…

The fish are still here…as demonstrated by Brent’s Tyee, JP and Rob from last week. We’re still here…

and the Helicopters know how to find us.

The good times are lined up…

Above are some of the special bottles that Scott’s group brought in to sample…as were these beers…

and some fun labels…

My small friends are still here…

I’m thinking this is a finch but not sure?

This is definitely a Varied Thrush…

Rebecca is still here…

baking all sorts of wonderful home baked breads and goodies.

Her selection of Ninja knives are still here…

JP still can’t get his hands clean no matter how hard he tries…guide guilt setting in…

“what have I done”…he keeps mumbling to himself.

The shenanigans are still here…

as demonstrated by Simon and Dave of Kimberly Homes…Simon wins $100 by taking an after dinner skinnydip over the weekend.

The smiles are still here…

that come from an awsome day on the water, right Sam?

Kaili was here for the Kimberly homes weekend…

as were the high stakes games…

The weather was here and didn’t want us to forget what it can do…

Doesn’t stop those boats from going out!

Jordan is still here…

as are all the tasty tuna and crab appetizers.

The ocean is still here providing us with a bounty of fun things to try…

lets do this…

Oh boy…I magically here when these appear…

We had a pasta night for Kimberly Homes…

There is NOTHING like home made spaghetti and meatballs!

We do have a guest in the Kitchen this week…

Its acclaimed Toronto Chef Jamie Kennedy!

With some high class ladies from the T-dot…

Judy and Dyane celebrate their upcoming dinner with some Pink Moet.

Jamie Put on a Gastronomic 5 course dinner with apetizers last night…

Andrew was doing his best Hugh Heffner impression…which appears to be attracting the desired response…

Justine pops open the Cremant du Jura

and serves up some fab appies…

These were Beef Tartar and Sea Urchin on toast

one of the most visually pleasing courses from Jamie’s Dinner was…

Mediteranean Sashimi of Foraged Mollusks

Kevin loved the presentation…

But back to the fishing and the fishing has been good!

This morning Johnny got this 35 lber with JP…

Nile Kennedy got his first Tyee 31 pounds, posing here with Kevin…

Theres been lots of perfect 40-60 pound halibut around…

Greg and Johnny show off their twins with guide JP

They both got twin 33 lbers yesterday with guide Marky-Mark…

…thats not snow…just rain that feels like it.

The Toronto girls just came in from an outstanding afternoon of fishing…to quote Dyane “we haven’t had fishing like that since….” she couldn’t remember. Here they are with half guide-half HUNK Adam…

Thats it ladies you own him for these 5 days.

Did I mention that Ingram is still here…

Photo by Sam…who has the honours of our last story today…

…she hooked, played and released a 195 pound halibut this afternoon to successfully take first place in the “biggest fish” contest she’s having with her brother Kevin. Here’s Mark and her Dad Ken taping the fish before release…

What a MONSTER…

and thats it for the MONSTER BLOG!

We’re back!
