Outpost Update July 20-Aug 3 ~ "Packin' Heat"

August 7, 2012

Our friends from Multistack were back last week...

Looking sharp in their team jackets; Peter, Jan, Ralph, Cam, Bill, Bill, Glenn, Peter, Mike, Mark, Wayne, Brian, Timo and Tom.

Changeover weather last Monday was terrible resulting in gale force winds and tough fishing but the days following provided some excellent action. Nothing monstrous but there was a 160 lb hali release and 4 tyees for the trip. The last two days providing lots of Chinook and hali's for everyone. The story of the summer remains the same, the fish come in waves and if the weather is good we can find them. If they're not at Three Rocks or Selveston they'll be at Hippa or Freeman and sometimes its the other way around.

Here are a few photos...starting with the title today's of todays report which was "packing heat"...

In this case it was just cigars...but don't mess with Jan when it comes to fishing he's all business.

Peter...a newcomer to the OP blazed the Tyee trail with a 35 on day 2...Ol Yeller was the captain...

Peter H brought up his 88 year Father who loved the fishing and caught a few chinook to take home to his 90 year old wife. Well done guys...

By day 4 it was the main man of Multistack that got the winner, a 37 pound perfect specimen...

Mark with his winning Tyee and Timo playing a supporting role after releasing a 35 caught at the same time on a Tyee double header with the above fish...that were both landed together in the same net. Now thats fun!

On their last night we had a beach bonfire and Natasha made homemade marshmallows and graham crackers so the guys could toast up some "smores"...

It was a great trip and a great bunch of guys.

The Krud winner this trip...

You've got to be kidding...the golden boy wins again, 2 in a row for the Yeller.
