Outpost Update ~ Aug 9 endless summer

August 10, 2011 | 20 Views

We are in perpetual fishing paradise right now, we’ll start with a couple of photos from guest photographer David Beatty who thought these shots captured the magic of August at the OP..

Yes thats sun, flowers and calm water.

Its a magical time of year and with 2 weeks to go in our season morale is high and fishing is HOT. Guests don’t trust me on arrival day when I boast about how good the fishing is but in the end they all believe and become Outpost fans.

Lets scroll though some of todays photos…

The run to the fishing grounds in the morning light.

It was sunny, the mountains strong and a growing wind from the north west.

Lines were down…

The fish were biting with boats averaging 20-40 chinook each (yes thats right!)

largest of the day was a 39 for Joseph…

Around 40+ fish for Kathryn, Bob and guide Mike Panz…

Here they are with what they decided to keep…

It was a fish on in Jp’s boat…

and finally proof that JP is an alien…

Extra terestrial or not JP and Tom did get a 32…

Smiles on the dock for Mike and Les…

Doug and Mike try to stay connected with the big market crash happening last week…

While Doug and Tom seem to have┬ámisplaced┬átheir guide…

And you know what night it is (every Tuesday and Saturday)…Meet and Greet and another Krud match.

“Fishing with Ben-efits” passed on the green jacket to tonights winner Kenny B…

The crowd was not entirely pleased.

Another day down the rabbit hole angling in wonderland.
