Outpost Update: Our spring barge arrived today as it usually does at 6:30 am…
Karma was with us for the third straight year; calm waters, no wind and a nice cool overcast day. I remember from my days in athletics that the anticipation just before an event was the most stressful…with so much on board I knew what lay ahead.
After the mighty ramp lay open on our helipad we sauntered up into the great maw knowing that today she might eat us up. However, good spirits and concerted effort over time can overcome almost anything…and so we began…
By hand, forklift, dolly and cart the goods came off.
With muscle, pink boots and some salsa we carried on…
never wavering but sometimes pausing the day continued
…into the cold heart of the reefer Chef Jordan ventured
By 3:00pm we’d emptied the beast and filled our small village. She closed her jaws and pulled away empty and hungry…sorry no meal today sweetheart.
A long day and much accomplished.
Back in the southern part of the province young Aaden shows off his favorite “T” and wants his dad to catch a salmon this big…
Carpenters Ronne (Aaden’s Dad) and Bryan arrived today to help out on a number of projects around the OP. Don’t worry Aaden I’ll teach your dad how to cut a “cutplug”.
We love photos from the outside world so send me yours! (Ling King Ray what have you got?)
See you tomorrow,
