Outpost July 12 ~ in middle of nowhere

July 13, 2011

Outpost update...and the center of everything...

The winds have been blowing from the NW and breaching 30 knots but everyone's still going out there and enjoying good fishing...

Fred and Steve come back a little windswept but with plenty of fish, Fred's 21 lb and Steve's 25.

Adam strolls towards the scale hoping that this is "the one"...with the heckles of Mike and Dewy in his ear... Adam has yet to break the Tyee mark this summer...and...

a great fish at 28lbs for John

Adam I've got my money on you for the biggest of the summer, I'm sure you're saving it up.

The biggest fish of the day went to the smallest of the bunch...

Brandan slams a 34 pounder! He was supposed to call home every night so appologies to his mom as we don't have a phone. Grandpa "Papa bear" is taking care of him and even got his own tyee today...

Here's the double Tyee team of Guide Dan, Brandon and Papa Bear...the only guest we've had at the OP that has been to EVERY WCFC property and a special hello to our friends in Panama; Papa arrived there the day I left back in May...and believes he has the record for the largest WCFC marlin...Tobey is this true?

The afternoon was lovely and sunny which always brings out the...

Ingram taking in some rays and hoping for a little affection on the back deck.

It was Brock who made the effort to reach the first landing who got any love...

and you know what happens when love is getting dished out...

everybody wants some!

It almost felt like summer...

Jordan took a moment out of the kitchen to admire his view.

Dinner was enjoyed by all and then the guides were up for meet and greet. Which means there was a game of KRUD.

Marky mark emerged the winner (and now ties Kennyb at 3 wins a piece). This trip there was a new ceremony, Kaili sent up a special "Krud Blazer", similar to the masters "green jacket" that gets passed from last weeks winner to this weeks winner.

Panz (last weeks winner) fits the jacket on to a very happy Marky-mark. We've added some flare...the names of the affiliated OP guest compaines on the sleeve...

Runner up Jordan looks on in dispair...so close, so close.

Competition continues to hit new heights here at the OP.

RAY WONG look out, its going to take more than a sharp shooter to stop these guns!
