Outpost July 11 ~ the ship was tossed

Outpost update today begins with glass...

Ironman Sonny was embarking on a swim early this morning but was discouraged by the sight of seals that appeared to take an interest...he came back in a hurry and seemed very hesitant about the rest of the workout.

That glassy water didn't last long as the wind picked up steadily throughout the day but that didn't discourage our new guests from hitting the water...

Here are Trey, guide Adam and John enjoying some great fishing at Hippa...

Fred (our guest from furthest afield) has joined us from Holland where he's never caught a fish bigger than a pair of shoes. Here is his first ever salmon...

Well done Fred, he later explained to me using his hands how he can't communicate without using his hands...

don't worry Fred, we understand, its a lot to take in on your first trip to North America.

Bruce also kept a nice fish out there...

and back at the dock the Panz invasion (for the third year in a row) started strong with a fun day and lots of action. Here is the team...

The biggest fish of the day or at least the biggest fish back to the dock was a 25lber for TJ...

It was blowing hard this afternoon but there are a ton of fish out there and everyone had a good time catching fish and getting wet on the ride home.

The guides took a minute in the sun to clean fish and chat fishing...

Andrew (dewy), Ben (big cakes), Mark (marky-mark), Adam (we can't tell his handle), Chuck (no handle) and Mike (ocean rat, Panzer, etc) shoot the "sh-t"

Fishing remains strong, however the winds are as well. Tomorrow is another day in whats turning out to be a stellar season.
