North Island Lodge "the Kaplan fishing trip"
August 23, 2013 | 2019 Views
North Island Lodge had recently had the pleasure of hosting the John Kaplan group. The guests had an absolute blast. From the time they arrived until their bitter sweet departure it was non stop laughs. The first day on the water it was great … offshore Coho point was producing and guests had the chance to get their feet wet. With a number of first time fisherman with us it didn’t take long before they where playing aggressive Chinook salmon like pros. I had the pleasure of fishing with Patti and Chris Dunhill the first day.
Mara and Patti where a riot to fish with … “WOOOHOOOOO”!!!! Pictured below is Mara’s very first Chinook ever caught.

Good old friends Chris and Jon enjoying lunch on Cox beach.
The North Island Lodge kitchen staff and serving crew did a fantastic job in organizing a beach lunch on Cox island for the Kaplan group.
Stacked like cordwood! … No shortage of Chinooks between the 15 – 25 lb range off the east side of Langara.
Big thanks to Darin Kaplan for putting together some great photos for us to use on the blog. Some very incredible photos!!
