Langara fishing remains consistent with a mixed bag of salmon hitting the dock.
Chinook, Coho, Pinks, Chum, even Sockeye all seem to be here right now and they’re keeping everyone busy baiting hooks. I hit the water Sunday for my first session of 2009. I was constantly re-baiting trying to call what type salmon was going to hit next ...virtually impossible right now. Although the Chinook fishing has slowed a tad, we did manage to get into 3 smaller ones in just a couple of hours. It is sure nice when that is considered slow. Jill Ahnen put the guys to shame with her 38lber, the largest Chinook last trip. Yesterday afternoon produced two more Tyee, 30 and 32 as the Langara fishery remains strong.
See you soon.
