Last Friday, fog restructured our normal changeover routine. The staff here at the lodge worked extremely fast to get everybody fed, suited up and headed out by water and in the right direction. Our trusty 212 helicopter pilot Pierre then found a beach to touch down between the lodge and Masset, transferring guests by boat, onto the beach, and into the Helicopter! Incoming guests told me they even had a black bear sighting during their beach lunch. Thank you to all for being so understanding and in such good spirits during this unusual weather pattern.
The Jon Anderson exclusive group arrived for the weekend with good numbers of Tyee still rolling in. Biggest of the trip was Rocky Garcia’s 43.5lber.
A total of 9 Tyee over the weekend is enough to keep everyone on their toes. Two more this morning, and a new West Coast Fishing Club record 76lb Chinook taken by Dave Willis at the Clubhouse.
I need to get off this computer and get out there!
