Fishing at Langara continues to be consistent with quite a few Coho in the area. Day one, most guests had a few fish in the box with Jim Knight hitting a 35lb and Stephen Cazemier of the Remington group producing a 32lber.
Things seemed to be clicking on day two as well with most boats seeing a couple of Chinook in the 20’s and 3 Tyee coming in including; young angler John Rustad’s 30, Dennis Serack’s 31 and Darrin Ebinger’s 34lber. Sheldon Taitinger also added a 41 lber to our release board fishing Boulder Bay and Guinia Pt. with guide Jason Wilson. A clean release, great photo and a catch and release jacket for returning a fish…Not a bad option. Your jacket is on its way Sheldon!
Westerly winds put a halt to most hali fishing on the West Side but guests capitalized on the consistent Chicken Halibut fishing out east. Coho numbers are excellent right now and along with some Tyee swimming about. A good combination if you ask me.
