With mounting demand for more frequent North Island Lodge blogs, I give you “National Geonorth Island”. First a quick recap of last weeks trip and a notable catch report. Semi senior guide Tanner Smith & his guest Teri ventured out west and hooked into a MONSTER halibut.
They dragged this thing up from close to 5,000 leagues under the sea to snap a few pictures and gracefully let this beautiful breeder live another day. This jumbo sized bottom feeder was estimated to be over 200lbs! …. Great Job Teri and Tanner!!
Perfect time for us to introduce Tanner Smith. A seasoned veteran working with the West Coast fishing Club, Tanner has exploded through the ranks at the WCFC and now proudly works as a second year guide with North Island Lodge, Tanner is the consummate professional and always keen to bring his skill set to the next level.
