Another favorable week flew by at the North Island Camp … the weather has been nothing short of amazing. With plenty of Chinooks darting around Langara Island and jumbo sized coho’s becoming more abundant August fishing has shaped up to be a blasty blast.
With calm fishing conditions on either side of Langara and dozens of locations to choose from being in the right place at the right time has payed off for our fleet. Peter & Ben from our Outpost location arrive at North Island to guide for us … needless to they took to Langara Island fishery like … a fish to water. Peter’s guests Ivan & Bill proudly displaying their catch.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Ralph and his friend Tom. This was Tom’s first fishing trip with us at North Island Lodge. The river proved to be the most successful location for us during the trip hitting our limits of Coho’s & Chinooks on chrome Clendon Stewart spoons. We also limited out on GT’s (good times). Thanks for the pictures Tom look forward to seeing you next year!
Days becoming that much shorter as we move into the later part of August. 5:46 in the morning the crack of dawning and they are yawning. Eager anglers wiping the cold out their eyes and making their way down the dock to board their vessels.
