North Island Lodge Update June 6 ~ “The Eagle Has Landed!”
June 6, 2014 | 2050 Views
After much anticipation, and some very positive fishing reports, a full house arrived on Monday to a pot of gold known as Langara Island.
Guests enjoy some of the new furnishings around the lodge and kick back with a scotch.

Our retail store is now all set and ready for a browse.
Here’s head guide DJ admiring Scotty’s latest digital high speed performance downriggers while dialing in his satellite radio for the season. This is one high-tech redneck!
I’d also like to introduce the new staff each week as they each affectionately receive their North Island nicknames. First off, “Yes, Sargent” Hannah, or ”Coach” from Penticton B.C. She may be small, but she’s fierce. When not keeping the guides away from the cookie tray she enjoys reading teen fiction and talking weather. I think this little rascal is going to add some character around here.
Not to forget a fishing update. Our first morning produced a 31lb Tyee for Chris Mackay. Prevailing NW winds are now easing and both sides of the island are producing good numbers of Chinook.
We are on pace for a stellar season and look forward to seeing you all.
