A wave of Tyee class fish have hit Langara Island. Plugged with juvenile herring and needlefish these fish are fat. Most of the fish being caught close to home in shallow water from The Reef to Boulder Bay making for some exciting shallow water takes and crazy surface fights.
Over the past week there have been some great catches and releases to mention.
Guide Kauri zig zagged his way through the fleet finally getting the net around this 41lber very close to the beach for Andrew Pavicich and the prize for the Anderson and friends derby.
Guide Patrick “Cat Gravy” Davies made it a memorable visit for his parents Duncan and Cindy Davies, finding a 34 for dad and a 30 for mom.
