NIL: One Month In The Books! ~ June 30, 2016

From the first day we leave Vancouver and head north bound on the tow, getting through the entire season can feel like a daunting task until we all start doing what we love. Fishing and enjoying the company of our guests in one of the most pristine wilderness environments in the world. Hard to believe June is now behind us.Few great fish to report as guide Kyle Alton has been the high liner on our dock recently and following up his recent double Bruin Bay Tyee trip by guiding guest Vic Tuinenga onto a 42 pounder - also caught in Bruin Bay on a beautiful sunny day. In fine form they also released it after a few good pics. Good work fellas!

* Kyle with the release. Next up we have Gord Hilchey and Frank Burke with a 38 lb Tyee. In line with our conservation efforts, they had every intention of releasing this beauty, but it swallowed the hook and was bleeding real bad so they decided to keep it. Good intentions all around though.

It was an honour to welcome the return of Richard Lock and the Reelin for Ronnie Derby, which to date has raised over $10,000 for the Ron Brown Scholar Program which aids students from Isla Mujeres in Mexico. The late Ron Brown is sadly missed, but his memory is honoured every year by this first class group. We look forward to your return next year gents!
