There is no sense in sugar coating it .. fishing today and the last few days for that matter has been tough. The pinks are in thick and scratching up the odd chinook has been difficult on Langara Island. The WCFC guide crew has been scrambling to track down the bite with everyone listening intently on the radio hoping for some direction. With dozens of prime locations to fish around Langara Island, figuring out where to go has been more of a gamble. Hold tight .. things change day to day. I overheard a statement that rings true. "you know fishing is always fun but catching is better" Well Im glad we're having fun guys!
With that said I'd like to quickly recognize a couple of our guests from the last trip. Hailing from Sooke British Columbia, North Island Guide Ryan Chamberland and his guest in from Alberta Gary Fedoretz with his 32lb Chinook caught in tight to the rock at Lacey Island. Great job on the Tyee boys!
And Nick Gillmore with his 33lb Chinook ... Nice fish Nick!
