Our first trip of the season was the second annual Ultimate Grill Showdown which has now well established itself as a not to be missed trip on the calendar . Thanks to all of our feature chefs and guests for kicking off the season at North Island Lodge in fine style again this year.

Last trip after the tremendous winds calmed down, the Mott Crew was putting in their time to get bites, and soon was rewarded for their efforts as the action picked up. DJ started it off with guest Kon Kmet and a beauty 29lb Spring.

We have really seen larger amounts of bait fish move in around Fish Bowl and other popular spots that have been relatively consistent producing nicer fish including those caught below by John Godlasky. John and his brother Bob have elected to take part in the total catch and release program and sent these nice springs back.

"John Godlasky with guide Jason and a 25lb Chinook.Fishing continues to pick up as DJ and Jason each report double digit fishing yesterday from the west side with 30 fish caught between the two boats. Mostly teenagers, but fun to catch and keep everyone busy and attentive especially considering the Tyees are around and being caught. Most recently his morning I took Willard and Martin Kniep out to the fish bowl and caught a few nice fish and look forward to what the next week brings.Todd McIntyre, General Manager
